Jewelry Care

Fine Silver is an environmentally friendly clay made from recycled silver. Each piece is shaped and carved by hand. After being fired in a kiln, the clay forms 99.9% pure solid silver. Finally, the piece is polished by hand and tumbled to add strength and beauty.

Each piece by Martha is handmade and can withstand anyone’s active lifestyle but please wear with care. Please take off each piece when showering, swimming, or exercising. Soaps, lotions, oils, and perfumes can cause the silver to change color over time.

You can polish your Designs by Martha jewelry using a polishing cloth. When not wearing, the jewelry should be stored in an airtight container such as a zip lock bag, which will help prevent tarnishing.  Each piece comes with an anti-tarnish strip and a polishing cloth.
